Tails program explanation
A Debian-based Linux distribution with a strong focus on privacy and security. All outgoing communications are forced to pass through the Tor network, and all non-anonymous communications are blocked. The system is designed to run from a live CD or USB, and will not leave a digital footprint on the machine unless the user requests it. The Tor Project has also provided financial support for its development.
